COCONUT POWER BALLS

These Coconut Power Balls are packed with healthy fats and make for a great snack in between meals or as a treat after dinner. Fats are an essential part of your diet, but not all fats are created equal! Unhealthy, toxic fats can wreak havoc on your body. Steer clear of highly processed vegetable and seed oils that contain trans fats (aka hydrogenated fats) like corn, soy, canola, shortening, and margarine. These toxic fats create inflammation in the body and contribute to chronic disease including heart disease, dementia, cancer, and diabetes. Moral of the story, eat plenty of the RIGHT kind of fats like coconut/MCT oil, olive oil, avocado oil, butter/ghee, nuts and seeds.

Cook Time:

10 minutes

Serves:

6-8 balls

Ingredients:

5 organic dates, pitted

⅓ cup organic coconut flakes

⅓ cup raw organic cashews or almonds

¼ cup raw organic pumpkin seeds

¼ cup raw organic sunflower seeds

¼ cup organic hemp hearts

2 tbl coconut oil, melted or MCT oil

1 ½ tsp organic maca or superfood powder (optional)

¼ tsp sea salt to taste

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in food processor and process until dough-like consistency is achieved.

Roll into bite sized balls ~ 2 tbl and store in a airtight container in the freezer.

Remove from freezer when ready to enjoy.
